The object of this challenge is to drive on snow. The trick that works for me is to accelerate to the snow, be in third gear, and be aligned to make a straight shot across the snow to the clean pavement. Keep just enough throttle to maintain speed on the snow, and begin driving again after you get back on the pavement. This is probably cheating, but it works.
